I'm sure there's a bit of desert called Area 51 where the military test stuff.
    I know what you meant.
There was a programme on discovery a while back that went into the whole airforce testing secret aircraft, the rise in ufo spotting and the way the USAF helped reinforce the idea of visitors from space.
    It was pretty good.
Don't you know what I mean?

Exactly!! That's what I meant to say!!

Everybody knows alien technology is studied in Cardiff, right by under Bute Place, next to the Millennium Centre.

I should have figured really. I imagine some stuff goes on there, probably more so in the past than now, but since that's the default joke for where that kind of thing goes down, I reckon they've taken any potential big secrets/stories elsewhere.

BTW, like most people I have no idea if a proper alien spacecraft with survivors landed in Roswell. I wouldn't completely believe or disbelieve that.

Of course they survived and they have their own MTV reality show on the Jersey Shore.

I don't think I have ever watched more than 2 minutes of the show. I like watching a good train wreck from time to time but even I have limits. lol

Really? I'd heard that they escaped to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune...

Just curious, have you ever been to Roswell? I haven't been since I was a kid. I had plans to go this year over July 4th weekend but with Dad being sick that didn't happen. Dad and I had actually said that next year when Dad was feeling better we would go but of course that won't happen now but I hope maybe I can get some friends together for a road trip. For those that don't know, July 4th weekend is the annual UFO Festival in Roswell with a UFO conference, bands and free museum admission for the extended weekend. It is an 8 hour drive from me and I think would make a lovely road trip. I have never driven my car out of state, I think it is getting tired of seeing Texas.

I haven't, no. It was one of those things I thought I might do "some day" but never got around to it. Wish I'd been more ambitious about travelling in the US but I suppose I thought I'd always live there. (never been to NYC either, which always seems to shock everyone I tell.)

Now go do what I procrastinated doing and go take that road trip!

That sounds like a great road trip.
