What should you have watched a long time ago...

...but have only just got around to?

I sat down and watched the 2003 Battlestar Gallactica miniseries earlier. I think I'll watch more (he says watching S01E01)

The BSG series was awful!! I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes. The substitute swearing was irritating and the hyperactive camera work was worse!!

    Frack off.

I actually noticed that quite a bit. It didn't happen at all in the miniseries - and not until about episode 5 of season one... It seems to have calmed down massively again though.

I've been consistently told (by people with opinions I really trust) that it gets very good. I'm going to give it a go.

    My weight.
What? Umm I'm going to say, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Dexter and Weeds. I did not watch the first, second or third season of those shows. It was not until much later that I jumped on the band wagon.

It really is. We really bought it simply so we could watch it before watching Toy Story 3. I shouldn't be surprised, Pixar generally does really good work.

I've never seen any of them.

In no way do I take it wrong. I giggled when I typed it as well.

BSG is a good choice. It really picks up halfway through the first series, so bear with the first few episodes and you'll be rewarded.

Then, if you haven't seen it already, go get yourself the Firefly box set which is now cheap as fuck on Amazon

Rachel loved the whole series, right up until the last episode. Where she feels they fucked it up enough to ruin the whole lot!

Some of the bits of that last episode are damn good IMO. I'm not going to discuss them here as andy hasn't watched it, but there's some genuine reactions to events in there that I thought were very cleverly written.

Doctor Who. I never gave it a proper chance before and I really enjoyed this recent season.

I saw Enter The Dragon last night for the first time. Though not the most gripping storyline, you just can't, uh, beat all that asskicking! Bruce Lee was the man!

I have a load of DVDs I've bought that I need to watch...
Some "beat" Tekashi movies (Dolls) and some studio Gibli movies (Howl's moving castle).

I bought "Ashes to ashes" off iTunes, but the woman annoys me and so far it isn't looking as good as "Life on Mars" (i've only watched the first two though).

Generally, I'm horrified if someone offers to lend me a boxed set of some sort of series. Although there are some good things out there, it just ends up being a big time suck that I don't want. I've reduced my TV watching down to near zero anyway (helps not having one) - I watch some cooking and the occasional comedy show, and Top Gear.

Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Just starting those. I really want to catch up.

Definitely stick with it. Her know-it-all behaviour soon starts to get replaced by a whole bunch of doubts and questions as things don't quite play out how she thinks they will. By series two it gets very good indeed.

Like Lost did in every single episode between s01e03 - s06e18?

^ Lost - the show I should have stopped watching a long time ago. What a load of cliché, contrived bullshit.
