Back to the Future Trilogy coming to Blu-Ray Oct. 26th!

I'm posting this here because I'm thrilled of the news! Last year it was rumored that they might release a Blu-Ray of the first film... well of course after re-buying the 1st DVD they're releasing the whole set on Blu-Ray for it's 25th anniversary!

    Full details here: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=4800

New documentaries, deleted scenes, and bonus features. Best of all they restored the picture and removed all of the dirt and crap, but left the grain (yay no crappy smoothing). Apparently it looks better than it ever did in the theaters, woot! I'm excited to get this on Blu-Ray. One trilogy down, a few more to go.

    *happy geeky smile*

    Yes I do!

I guess it's only natural, being stuck with a huge tube TV up until this past Christmas makes me love my pretty HDTV even more. Plus everyone knows im a big movie geek so having some of my favorite films in HD with new bonus material makes me very happy.

In un-releated news I bought Toy Story on LaserDisc for $2 because the cover art is fitting to be framed, so pretty. Yep, going from beautiful HD to blurry SD, ah technology!

I liked the original, the sequel was even better IMO, but I'll confess that I haven't seen part 3.

^^ Yep, it definitely wasn't as good as the first two films, but as a whole it's a good 80's trilogy. Well, technically the final movie was released in 1990, but close enough.

Best part of Part 3 was the train in the last scene.

That's really the only part I can remember, well, that and getting chased by Indians I think.

I didn't think much of part 3 either. In fact, not that long ago we decided to watch the series one weekend and we never did get to the 3rd. Slackers.

Very interesting. When the movies first came out, everyone I knew (including me) thought the second one was weak and the third one was fantastic.

I'm definitely looking forward to getting these. Maybe I'll even have a Blu-ray player and an HDTV by then.
