Fed up with my collection of good old lenses being left unused (I just open the bag occasionally to clean them down and ensure they're free of fungus)..

After doing some searching and finding actually, they can work quite well. Some of the sample images are great, which means my photos will still look as mediocre as they do - I'll just have some flexibility in the glass department. Which would be nice.

It hurts me to see these Zuikos and the suchlike just sitting there. There's a 28mm f/2.8 prime, a 50mm f/1.4 and a couple of macro and telephoto lenses. All I need is an OM - EF mount.

My mind is made up, I'm getting one. The problem is eBay seems to be the only place to grab one. I'm off to t'country at t'weekend (well, Thursday night) and would love to take said adapter with me.

Stupid eBay sellers are charging £6 extra for "guaranteed nextday" delivery and still can't deliver it before Friday. :confused:

I'm kind of at a crossroads with regard to my slr. I currently have a Sony A300, 18-70 kit lens, 28-70 sigma lens (eBay special which has replaced the kit lens) and a 55-200 tamron (which my iPad corrects to tampon :naughty:).

Anyway, I want to get a 50mm 1.8 prime and maybe switch the telephoto lens for something with a little more reach, and also get something on the wide side, or even know I can hire something wide quickly if I can. I'd also like to get an external flash and eventually be able to dabble in movies and strobes for different lighting effects.

Now, my problem is, the a300 body probably has a couple of years left on it, Sonys other bodies aren't really showing much process in terms of HD video, they seem to be focussing on the NEX, but that isn't where I want to go with my photography. Also, only the high end Sony body can control remote strobes.

So this is my question. Do I go out and buy a Sony 50mm lens when I go to NY in a couple of weeks, or do I trade it all in for another system, and which system would be good, with cheapness to start with and bags of potential for good equipment?
